OMG, we’re hanging out right? How long will you be here?

  3. Deb Says:

But here is a good vacation spot:

OF COURSE! As long as we can hang out you can tell me all the good places.

  4. 8r13n Says:

I’ve spent a few weeks in Moscow, Idaho (where Mary Jane’s Farm is). I’ll bet my friends there know Mary Jane, it’s a really small town.

  5. Deb Says:

Maybe a week would be kewl.

  6. 8r13n Says:

That looks sweet. I loved the shot of the moose eating the apples (taken from this page http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/tour/virtual/ ) Moose are in right now.

On the cool places to hangout, that all depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re into hikes then checkout http://www.nwhiker.com Some of my favorite local are…

    Ecola State Park
The air is rich with the smell of fresh pine and the crisp salty sea air all along this trail. It’s great.

    Beacon Rock
The site pics don’t do the view justice, but this is a nice quick hike near portland…

    Then there’s Eagle Creek
    A personal favorite…

    St Helens
Who doesn’t want to get up close with a volcano?

    Indian Heaven
They called it heaven for a reason…

    Silver Falls
The fastest way to see tons of waterfalls…

Last, but not least, is Portland’s Forest Park
This park runs over 5,000 acres and is the largest urban forest in the country. …People who live in downtown Portland consider this their backyard.

Of course, if you’re not into hiking there are plenty of other options. Downtown Portland’s waterfront, restaurants, pubs and coffee shops are great. Checkout http://www.mcmenamins.com/ for a sample of what I’m getting at. The Cornelius Pass Roadhouse is one of my favorites. Picture that on a Friday night with paper lanterns lighting the grounds. …It’s sweet.

  7. Deb Says:

It’s all so beautiful! I want to see it all.
    Thanks!

You can be my tour guide.

  8. 8r13n Says:

Sounds good to me. I really haven’t hiked enough this year. …And the weather should be perfect. We should add photos for the nwhiker.com site.

  9. Deb Says:

I’m so glad you have the 411 on the Pacific Northwest.

BTW, how’s your work going with the Conn. company?

  10. 8r13n Says:

It’s going well. I’m enjoying working from home. I work odd hours, but I am very productive.
